The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office has launched a homicide investigation after a fatal stabbing at a Thousand Oaks home on July 10.
Deputies responded to a house in the 2900 block of Crescent Way shortly before 8:30 p.m., said sheriff’s Capt. Robert Davidson. Authorities had received multiple calls about a stabbing, he said.
When deputies arrived, they found a man with apparent stab wounds. He was taken to the Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks where he was later pronounced dead, Davidson said. His name has not yet been released but authorities described him as a 36-year-old Simi Valley resident.
Detectives are investigating the stabbing as a homicide, Davidson said. The sheriff’s office said it appears to be an isolated incident and that the two parties knew one another.
The suspect is outstanding and anyone with information was asked to contact sheriff’s Detective Katie Torres at 805-384-4740.
