Sean McVay shared an update on Aaron Donald after the Los Angeles Rams’ win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, saying the two sides weren’t at the point where they have clarity on Donald’s plans. He’s still considering coming back to the Rams but McVay didn’t want to set an “invisible deadline” for the future Hall of Famer.
Well, one day later, Donald was back at the Rams’ facility working out. According to the transaction wire, Donald had his second official workout with the Rams on Sunday as he continues to weigh his options. He had his first workout with the team earlier in August, making this his second such “tryout” for the Rams.
The first time, McVay joked that it was the best tryout the Rams have had and that Donald looked as good as expected.
Donald retired from the NFL after the 2023 season but after the Rams acquired Myles Garrett in June, he began considering a return to the Rams in pursuit of a second Super Bowl ring. He’s still thinking about it but he’s going through his process to determine whether it’s something he actually wants to do.
