How to watch 49ers vs. Titans

49ers final stats vs. Titans

49ers vs. Titans final score: 49ers 37, Titans 24

The 49ers avoided anything weird and sealed their fourth-straight win.

49ers score on another Eddy Pineiro field goal

San Francisco couldn’t quite run out the clock Sunday and needed one more Pineiro field goal from 40 yards out to put a bow on their performance against the Titans. It’s 40-27 with 1:14 to go.

49ers injury update: WR Ricky Pearsall exits again

Pearsall slipped and still managed to haul in a third-and-11 throw for 13 yards and a first down, but he got up limping and struggled to get to the sideline. He immediately went into the medical tent when he got to the sideline. It’s his second trip to the medical tent.

Titans score on Tony Pollard rushing touchdown

The 49ers aren’t quite done yet. They’re leading 34-24 over the Titans with 5:33 to go after Pollard rushed in from a yard out. They went 64 yards on 10 plays as San Francisco’s defense has looked like anything but a playoff caliber unit.

49ers vs. Titans score: Eddy Pineiro FG makes it a three-score lead for SF

Pineiro didn’t miss on his second opportunity to push the 49ers’ lead to 17 points. He hit from 37-yards out to put San Francisco ahead 34-17 with 9:28 left in the fourth quarter. The 49ers got behind the sticks on a holding penalty on right guard Dominick Puni. A George Kittle drop on second-and-20 forced the 49ers into a third-and-20 where they conceded with a handoff to Christian McCaffrey to set up an easier field goal try.

Eddy Pineiro missed FG negated by Titans penalty

The 49ers were bailed out in a big way after Pineiro pushed a 51-yard field goal try wide right. Titans DT Jeffery Simmons who forced the fumble earlier and scored a touchdown after the fumble hit 49ers long snapper Jon Weeks for a 15-yard penalty that gave the 49ers a first down. That’s a huge mistake by Tennessee and San Francisco could put the game away if they capitalize.

Titans clown 49ers with DT Jeffery Simmons touchdown

Tennessee got back into Sunday’s matchup on a scramble drill where Cam Ward hit defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons for a touchdown. That’s an embarrassing play for San Francisco, but they still lead 31-17 with 14:16 to go.

Titans highlights are nightmare scenario for 49ers

The Titans created a turnover on a strip sack, and then immediately connected on a 43-yard completion from Cam Ward to Van Jefferson that put them at the 1. Turnovers and quick strikes are how three-touchdown leads evaporate.

49ers 31, Titans 10 at end of third quarter

We may get to the point soon where the 49ers are pulling some starters.

George Kittle grabs touchdown to put 49ers up 31-10 on Titans

Five possessions, four touchdowns for the 49ers. This time they went 95 yards on 15 plays with Brock Purdy connecting with Kittle from one yard out for a touchdown that extended San Francisco’s lead to three touchdowns. What a drive by the 49ers who are now 8-for-10 on third downs, one-for-one on fourth downs and four-for-five in the red zone.

49ers highlights: Brock Purdy scrambles for SF’s longest run of the season

Purdy is dialed in. He looks healthy after the bye week and his scrambling has unlocked the 49ers’ offense. His 26-yard run in the third quarter was the longest run of his career, and San Francisco’s longest of the season.

Jauan Jennings’ 2nd touchdown puts 49ers ahead 24-10

That was easy. San Francisco opened the second half with a 67-yard drive that only needed four plays. Ricky Pearsall caught a long throw for 38 yards to break the drive open. Two plays later he hit Jennings for a 13-yard touchdown that extended the 49ers’ lead to two touchdowns with 12:54 to go in the third quarter.

49ers vs. Titans score: 49ers lead 17-10 entering halftime

It wasn’t the comfortable lead San Francisco wanted, but they’ll take it since they get the ball coming out of halftime. Tennessee’s final drive resulted in a 50-yard field goal try that kicker Joey Slye pushed wide right to end the half. Malik Mustapha looked to have a drive-ending interception, but he dropped perhaps the easiest INT opportunity he’ll get as a pro. That gave the Titans some life, but they didn’t capitalize. San Francisco had a couple chances to take control of the first 30 minutes, but the game still hangs in the balance.

Eddy Pineiro extends 49ers lead with short field goal

It was a disappointing end to San Francisco’s third possession Sunday. They needed 14 plays to go 50 yards, but their drive stalled in the red zone after Brock Purdy’s third-and-11 throw to Jauan Jennings fell incomplete. Jennings had the ball in his hands, but tight coverage was able to force the ball out. It’s 17-10 after Pineiro’s 33-yard field goal.

Titans QB Cam Ward hits Gunnar Helm for long touchdown

The 49ers defense has its hands full at Levi’s Stadium. They had no answers for the Tennessee offense on an eight-play, 68 yard drive where Ward found a wide open Helm for a 34-yard touchdown to cap the drive and negate the impacts of a holding penalty on the previous play. Tennessee through three drives is averaging a whopping 7.5 yards per play. Not a great first-half showing from the 49ers defense.

Christian McCaffrey’s touchdown run puts 49ers up two scores

It was another drive in cruise control for the 49ers offense. This time they went 70 -yards on seven plays and capped the drive with a one-yard touchdown run by McCaffrey. Brock Purdy missed a throw to Ricky Pearsall that would’ve gone for a big gain, but he bounced back the next play with a nice throw on the run to Demarcus Robinson. McCaffrey is up to 14 touchdowns this season after plowing in from a yard out.

49ers vs. Titans end of first quarter score: SF 7, TEN 3

It was a relatively easy quarter for the 49ers offense, but their defense struggled a little bit on Tennessee’s second series. If the game continues trending the way it is after the first quarter San Francisco should escape with a comfortable victory.

49ers injury update: WR Ricky Pearsall returns

Pearsall is back to open the 49ers’ second series after getting hurt early in their first drive. He spent time in the medical tent according to reporters at Levi’s Stadium. He had his ankle taped on the sideline per the TV broadcast.

49ers vs. Titans score: 49ers hold in red zone

Tennessee cut into the 49ers’ lead with a 25-yard field goal after a 10-play, 63-yard drive. They got into a first-and-goal at the 49ers’ 5, but a seven-yard tackle for loss by 49ers LB Dee Winters put them behind the sticks and allowed some breathing room for San Francisco’s defense. Tennessee RB Tony Pollard is having a nice start to Sunday’s game with 46 yards on five carries including a 22-yard run that catalyzed their scoring drive. That’s something the 49ers will have to clean up.

WR Jauan Jennings touchdown puts 49ers up on Titans

The 49ers didn’t face a ton of resistance on their opening offensive series. They went 70 yards on 12 plays with quarterback Brock Purdy connecting with Jennings for a four-yard touchdown to open the scoring. Purdy went five-for-six for 50 yards on the series. It looked like there was a concerted effort to not lean too heavily on Christian McCaffrey, who is dealing with some back soreness and was questionable entering the game. He carried three times for 10 yards and wasn’t targeted in the passing game.

49ers injury news: WR Ricky Pearsall leaves after one play

That didn’t take long. Pearsall took a short throw on the 49ers’ first play from scrimmage and was pulled down awkwardly on what looked like an illegal hip drop tackle. There was no flag, but Pearsall was slow to get up before leaving the game with visible frustration.
