The 2026 offseason continues to roll along, but now we know when practices will start for every NFL team.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the San Francisco 49ers’ first day of offseason reporting is April 20. Organized team activities (OTAs) run from May 27-29, June 1 and June 3-4. Mandatory minicamp runs from June 9-10.
There are very few nuances in each team’s schedule for the summer, but the 49ers have a more condensed schedule. San Francisco’s first day is later since they’re among the squads with a returning head coach. This is also why they don’t have a voluntary minicamp.
The next big dates to look out for are training camp, which won’t be revealed until later this summer.
This is a big offseason for the 49ers. They were a game away from winning the NFC West but got walloped in the team’s final two matches against the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. While the biggest players and coaches are back in 2026, a few of the most important players are coming back from season-ending injuries and the 49ers will have a new defensive coordinator in Raheem Morris.
The 49ers’ path to the playoffs and the Super Bowl is beginning to take shape.
