There has been a headliner change for the June 21st Candlelight Concert at Sanilac Museum

By Sanilac County Historical Society

Port Sanilac, MI (June 12th) – We will be hosting concerts throughout the year. One concert of significance will be the candlelight concert featuring Bill Russell, a classical guitarist. Ticket sales will be online for $10 thanks to a grant sponsorship from Michigan Humanities. Be sure to get your tickets online by visiting 3common.com/2024candlelightconcert

Bill Russell is an award winning classical / fingerstyle guitarist, conservatory trained classical musician, and established composer and arranger. He is the 2009 Gamble Rogers Fingerstyle Guitar Campion, the 2018 Indiana State Fingerstyle Guitar Champion, and has taken third place at the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in 2018 and then third again in 2022. Bill received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from The Boston Conservatory and a Master’s Degree in Music from Florida State University. Performing in countless churches, cafes, concert halls, and festivals he has honed his craft while entertaining audiences for more than 40 years. Bill has perfected his own distinctive solo guitar style that bears a deep understanding of the music conveyed through an impeccable classical guitar technique. He enters into every performance with this J.S. Bach quote in his heart and mind:
