“You may encounter many defeats, BUT you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” Maya Angelo
“Four things on earth are small, YET they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, YET they store up their food in the summer; hyraxes are creatures of little power, YET they make their home in the crags; locusts have no king, YET they advance together in ranks; a lizard can be caught with the hand, YET it is found in kings’ palaces.” (Proverbs 30:24-28)
YET they ALL found strength despite their weakness. Any weakness you experience in your life can be transformed into a personal strength. Turn obstacles to your advantage, and move forward. Find a way to overcome these challenges. Every problem has the potential to be gift when put in God’s hands.
Life can be hard, YET we can’t allow our past to paralyze progress. If you have good motives and you’re working on your heart, just keep moving forward. “If God is for you, who can be against you.” (Romans 8:31) Your pain, your experience, your gained wisdom will help someone else in the future. Allow God to use that.
Perhaps conquering big tasks are challenging YET we could develop a strategy to overcome the weakness, a game plan, maybe developing a routine, or a process to simplify the task. Break it into small, and do little by little, but be very consistent. “There’s no never. Just long periods of not yet.” Solenn Housaff.
Life can be made up of small consistent habits. This provides good balance. Just do it daily, develop a lot of 5 minute great habits each day. Slowly start to turn your weaknesses into a strength. Play the long game. Preparation is never lost time.
Perhaps emotional resilience is a weakness YET we could develop a network of friends to provide wisdom and strength for the journey. We could surround ourselves with faith filled fellowship.
Our goal is to find a way through our adversity, Don’t simply accept it, reflect, pray, adapt and grow through it. “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10)
“God has not given you weaknesses in vain. Identify them. Accept them. Exploit them. Magnify the power of Christ with them. Don’t waste your weaknesses.” John Piper
God’s not done with us YET there’s more to the story. God will do more than we ever thought possible. Let Him. If God simply meets your expectations then He can’t exceed them.
