Port Sanilac, MI (August 28th) – The Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum is proud to host a special reunion concert featuring The Greenlanders on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. This free event will bring together musicians from across the United States and Europe for an afternoon of classic folk and popular music in support of the Museum.
The Greenlanders originally began performing in the mid-1960s, inspired by folk icons such as Peter, Paul & Mary, the Kingston Trio, and Bob Dylan. Over the years, their repertoire has expanded to include beloved music from the 1960s through the 1980s, including songs made famous by The Eagles, John Denver, the Cyrkle, the Beach Boys, and the Beatles. After decades apart, the group reunited nearly 50 years later and has since made an annual tradition of sharing their music.
This concert will feature Ron traveling from France, Bill from New York, Joe from Charlevoix, Tom from Port Sanilac, and Dick from Royal Oak, with the possibility of local musician Dennis joining on conga drums. Light non-alcoholic drinks and refreshments will be available. Admission is free, with donations benefiting the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum. Prior to the concert, community members are encouraged to join in a volunteer rally to help decorate the Historic Village grounds in preparation for the Museum’s Haunted Village events on October 11 and 18.
The Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum is located at 228 S. Ridge St (M25) in Port Sanilac. For more information visit www.sanilaccountymuseum.org or on Facebook at “Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum”, or call the office at 810.622.9946.
