Port Sanilac Farmers Market Supports Sanilac County Museum with Annual Lease and $2k Donation$2,750 total will help expand the museum’s driveway access to improve traffic flow for the 2026 market season

Port Sanilac, MI — October 24, 2025. The Sanilac County Historical Society (SCHS) gratefully acknowledges the Port Sanilac Farmers Market (PSFM) for its annual seasonal lease payment of $750, along with an additional $2,000 donation to support improvements at the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum.

A critical infrastructure project slated for early 2026 is expanding the main driveway access along M-25 by 15 feet from 55 feet to 70 feet wide—to improve patron traffic entering and exiting the grounds during Farmers Market Fridays.

“These funds from the market will go directly to this infrastructure improvement. I think it goes hand in hand as an appropriate investment,” said Dan Finn, Administrator of the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum.

SCHS also thanks the Sanilac Consortium for the Arts for co-sponsoring, alongside PSFM, the free concert series every Friday at 2:00 PM during market season. Week after week from May through October, the community came together to enjoy art, culture, live music, and artisan goods on the museum grounds.

Looking ahead, the 2026 Port Sanilac Farmers Market will operate Fridays, May 8 through October 30, from 1:00–5:00 PM at the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum.
