By The Port Huron Elks Lodge 343
The Port Huron Elks Lodge 343, 70th blood drive held on Monday, January 27th as we continue to help us close the gap on blood shortages! We had (50) donors arrive to provide the ”Gift of Life” as we surpassed our goal of 35. (17) donors were deferred, (29) whole blood pints, and (8 Power reds = 16 pints) were collected, for a total of 45 total units. We had 4 first time donors. Working together, the Port Huron Elks Lodge 343, and the American Red Cross have collected over 2,363 units (pints) = 295 gallons of blood since our 1st blood drive on January 7, 2013. We are well on our way to reaching our next goal of 3,000 pints (375 gallons). Our 71st Drive is scheduled for Monday, February 17th. Please consider registering today at https://www.redcross.org.
