Former One Direction star Zayn has scrapped his upcoming U.S. tour — including a planned Nov. 8 date at Little Caesars Arena — due to health concerns, the singer has announced.
The cancellation follows a hospitalization Zayn underwent in April for an unspecified illness.
“To my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you’ve shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health. I’ve felt it, and it’s meant the world,” he wrote on his Instagram stories. “I’ve been at home recovering and I’m doing well and will be better and stronger than before.
“I’ve had to take another look at my schedule for the months ahead and have to reduce the number of shows on the KONNAKOL Tour. I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can. I’m really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon. Big Love, Z.”
The event’s Ticketmaster listing says ticket holders will receive refunds to their original methods of payment within 14-21 days.
The 23-date North American tour’s cancellation comes amid reports of soft ticket sales for the outing, the 33-year-old’s first solo arena trek.
The Detroit show — which was announced in February, and was set to mark his first local concert as a solo act — was included as part of promoter Live Nation’s recent $30 concert promotion list, which offers discounted tickets on more than 100 upcoming shows.
The outing joins several other high profile tours that have had to either slash shows or cancel their runs entirely.
Post Malone and Jelly Roll recently postponed the launch of their joint “Big Ass Stadium Tour” — the outing visited Ford Field in May 2025 — and axed a number of shows on the front portion of the tour, and last month Meghan Trainor shelved her entire “Get In Girl” tour, which was set to kick off June 12 at Pine Knob.
Zayn’s fifth solo set “Konnakol” was released April 17 and debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard 200.
