You’ll see replicas of some famous nostalgic TV cars at this year’s car show benefit at Frenchtown Center for Active Adults. The second annual show is one of many events set for July in Monroe County and surrounding areas.
The car show is set for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. July 12 at the center, 2786 Vivian Road in Frenchtown Township.
“We are looking forward to the ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ tribute cars and a possible visit from Sheriff Buford T. Justice. We may also receive a visit from the tribute car General Lee from ‘The Dukes of Hazzard,’” said Paul Iacoangeli, the center’s executive director.
Many local vehicles will round-out the show.
“Last year we had 70 vehicles, and this year we know there will be more,” Iacoangeli said.
Any vehicle is welcome. The $10 registration fee will benefit the center’s Adult Day program.
Also offered at the show will be indoor and outdoor craft shows, food, ice cream and raffles. Pets can be adopted through the Humane Society of Monroe County. Also attending will be the Frenchtown Township Fire Department, local police and National Street Rod Association.
“There will be much to see and do,” Iacoangeli said.
