Burlington is known for affordable prices on women’s ready-to-wear apparel, menswear, youth apparel, baby items, beauty items, footwear, accessories, toys, gifts and coats.

The retailer also plans to open a location in Burton, bringing the total number of stores in Michigan to 32.

The new location in Brighton will feature Burlington’s “reimagined” store layout and a new store logo, according to a media release.

“The refreshed store layout provides a better and more enjoyable shopping experience, making it easier for consumers to discover deals and savings on their favorite brands,” the release read.

Just a few doors away, Ross Dress for Less is also preparing to open. An update on the brand’s timeline in Livingston County was not immediately available Friday, May 30.

There was work being done to the building’s facade Friday, and the store’s “coming soon” sign was hanging on a gate in front of the building.

Ross Stores was founded in 1982 in California, operating under the brand name Ross Dress for Less. The store is a discount department and specialty brand with no frills, such as window displays, mannequins or decorations.

The Brighton Mall opened as a traditional, enclosed mall in 1971 and has undergone multiple renovations and redevelopments since.
