The 1-seed Wolverines face the 2-seed UConn Huskies in the national title game of the 2026 NCAA Tournament on Monday, April 6, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The game is scheduled for an 8:50 p.m. ET start time and will be on TBS, with streaming available on Sling TV.

After losing in the Big Ten championship game to Purdue, Michigan has won five straight NCAA tournament games, including a 91-73 beatdown of 1-seed Arizona in the national semifinal on Saturday, April 4. UConn, meanwhile, outlasted 3-seed Illinois for a 71-62 win in the other national semifinal game on Saturday.

The Huskies, led by coach Dan Hurley, are playing for their third national championship in four seasons after winning the tournament in 2023 and 2024. UConn has won six national championships overall, all since 1999, as it has established itself as one of the premier college basketball programs of the 21st century.

Michigan, meanwhile, finds itself in a familiar position playing in the national title game for the eighth time in program history. However, the Wolverines are 1-6 overall in the big game, with its lone win (and only national title) coming in the 1989 tournament with an 80-79 win over Seton Hall.

Here is what you need to know about Monday’s title game.
