Five weeks in, we’ve seen numerous Cheboygan-area football players produce at the 8-player level.
Whether it’s Inland Lakes, Onaway or Pellston, certain players have shown out and consistently performed since the start of the regular season in late August.
Now is your chance to vote on who you think has been the best 8-player performer in the Cheboygan area midway through the campaign.
The poll closes at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5.
Here’s a look at the candidates:
Andre Bradford, Inland Lakes – Arguably the best offensive player so far, Bradford has been superb running the ball for the Bulldogs, while also being a vital part of I-L’s shutdown defense.
Ty Kolly, Inland Lakes – Through five starts this fall, Kolly has been excellent as the starting quarterback for Inland Lakes, producing big plays with his arm and legs.
Wyatt Hanel, Inland Lakes – I-L’s lockdown cornerback, Hanel’s delivering another big defensive campaign, and has also made his presence known running the ball.
Landon Fenstermaker, Inland Lakes – Fenstermaker has been solid on both sides of the ball, contributing as a big-play threat offensively and a defensive force as well.
Avery Enos, Inland Lakes – Fueling the Bulldogs’ impressive offensive line has been Enos, who’s also been one of I-L’s top contributors defensively.
Zach Schmoldt, Onaway – Offensively, Schmoldt’s produced some big-time performances as a running back for the Cardinals.
Kayson Jarvis, Onaway – Coming into his own offensively has been Jarvis, who recently recorded a 263-yard rushing performance.
Chris Pauly, Onaway – A breakout performer for the Cardinals, especially defensively.
Brady Bonter, Pellston – One of the most dynamic players in the area, Bonter has delivered solid rushing performances and been a major contributor defensively.
Lucas Livermore, Pellston – Starring on both sides of the ball has been Livermore, a versatile offensive player who stepped in and performed well as a backup quarterback for multiple weeks.
Connor Keller, Pellston – One of Pellston’s best offensive players, Keller has performed well at the running back position and held his own defensively as well.
