BATTLE CREEK — Meet the Battle Creek Enquirer Athletes of the Week, presented by Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
Each week during the high school sports season, we will ask our readers to vote for the top performance of the week in all high school sports, taking a look at events from Monday-Saturday. In 2025, the Enquirer will have an Athlete of the Week for boys sports and an Athlete of the Week for girls sports.
Make sure to vote early and often for your pick, as the winner will be featured in an Athlete of the Week spotlight story in the Sunday edition of the Enquirer. Fans can vote for their favorite athlete until Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Nominees for Bronson Battle Creek Athlete of the Week for boys sports:
Elijah Bowron
Climax-Scotts Football
Climax-Scotts came up with a dominant 66-0 victory over rival St. Philip in Southern Central Athletic Association Red Division action in 8-player football. Junior Elijah Bowron touched the ball three times and had three scores. He had one carry from scrimmage for a 74-yard touchdown run. He had a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and an interception return for a score to lead Climax-Scotts.
Dylan Eversole
Harper Creek Football
Senior receiver Dylan Eversole helped Harper Creek upset undefeated and state-ranked Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills, 37-15. Eversole had a 54-yard touchdown catch in the first half. He finished with four catches for a season-high 103 yards receiving.
Mubarrack Jubril
Battle Creek Central Football
Mubarrack Jubril helped Battle Creek Central rally to beat Loy Norrix in a key Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference East Division game. Jubril scored a touchdown to tie the game at 18-18 before the Bearcats would go on to win in the final minutes, 26-18. Jubril finished with two touchdowns in the second half and 160 yards rushing.
Abdulhamid Munassar
Coldwater Soccer
Coldwater won the outright title in boys soccer in the Interstate 8 Conference. It was the first outright league championship for the Cardinals since 2016. Coldwater clinched the crown with a 7-0 win over Hastings to finished the league season at 5-0-1. Abdulhamid Munassar had a hat trick in the victory and added an assist.
