A semi-truck driver was arrested on Wednesday, March 25 following a traffic stop on the Mackinac Bridge for possession of illegal weapons, among other things, according to the Michigan State Police (MSP).
The driver was identified as 54-year-old Eric Koroscik of Kingwood, Texas.

In a news release, MSP said that at approximately 6:48 p.m. on Wednesday, officers patrolling the area observed a semi-truck speeding and operating in a hazardous manner.
Upon contact, officers say Koroscik had an active warrant for his arrest. Shortly after, officers took him into custody.
Further investigation revealed Koroscik was in possession of multiple illegal weapons and did not have a concealed pistol license.
The following items were seized by officers, MSP says:
Koroscik was also in possession of two open containers of alcohol, and an inspection of the vehicle also indicated Koroscik had allegedly falsified his electronic logging device records, MSP said.
On Thursday, March 26, Koroscik was arraigned in the 92nd District Court in Mackinac County on one count of carrying a concealed weapon.
He was issued a personal recognizance bond.
Officials say additional charges are being sought for other alleged violations. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 10, 2026.
