Another high school season is in the books. There have been several elite performances in high school sports.
But who was the girls top performer of the 2025-26 school year?
The finalists are each sport’s player of the year plus a handful of multi-sport athletes who made an impact in several places.

Camryn Siegers, Holland Christian
The swimmer of the year was a multi-state champion and Division 3 Swimmer of the Year. She also finished second in the state in the high jump, one of the top multi-sport performances in area history.
Lizzie Risdon, Zeeland East
The Chix multisport star was the volleyball player of the year and also is a strong basketball player.
Josi Popma, Hamilton
The Hamilton junior claimed the Division 3 title in diving, earning all-state for the second year in a row.
Adalyn Raab, Zeeland East
The cross country runner of the year was all-state in cross country and track.
Annika Kruithof, Holland Christian
The Maroons sophomore was the golfer of the year after reaching the state tournament.
Talia Laskowski, Saugatuck
The senior guard was a first-team all-state honoree in basketball and co-basketball player of the year after leading Saugatuck to its third district title in four years. She also had a strong season as a volleyball setter.
Mylah Simpson, Saugatuck
The junior guard was a first-team all-state honoree in basketball and co-basketball player of the year after leading Saugatuck to its third district title in four years.
Le’Anna Zavala, West Ottawa
The Panthers senior was the wrestler of the year after earning third in the state. She was the second female wrestler in area history to reach 100 career wins.
Addysen Miller, Zeeland West
The Dux senior was the competitive cheerleader of the year after leading Zeeland West to the state finals.
Maddisen McClintock, Zeeland
The state qualifier was the girls bowler of the year.
Novella DeGraaf, Saugatuck
The junior was a top-three finisher in the state in three events, one of the rare performances in area history. She was second in the pole vault and third in the 100 hurdles and long jump – one year after missing the entire season with a knee injury.
Collette Wierks, West Ottawa
The Panthers junior was the runner of the year after finishing state runner-up in Division 1 in the 800 meters, her second all-state finish in the event.
Bri Kamer, Zeeland West
The all-state catcher was the softball player of the year after turning in perhaps the best catching defensive season in area history.
Neave Rewa, Saugatuck
The season and career all-time leader for the Trailblazers in goals and assists, the senior led Saugatuck to the regional final for the first time. She also was an all-state skier for the second year in a row.
Evie Price, West Ottawa
The No. 1 singles player for the Panthers was a Division 1 regional champion and led West Ottawa to its highest place at state in school history.
Lily Delcalzo, West Ottawa
The junior midfielder was the girls lacrosse player of the year.
Peyton Weenum, Zeeland
The Zeeland senior was the water polo player of the year and also a state qualifier in swimming.
Madison Ensing, Zeeland West
The senior was a sprinting state champion, earning her third overall state title in swimming after committing to Arizona.
Natalie Lauritzen, Zeeland West
The state runner-up in swimming was a key doubles player in tennis that led the Dux to their first regional title.
Johanna Mulder, Holland
The Dutch runner broke two school records from the 1980s and was one of the top cross country and track runners in the area, helping Holland to the state cross country finals for the first time since 2000.
Olivia Weiss, Holland
The multi-sport star was an elite track runner and soccer player in the spring and in cross country, led Holland to its first state appearance since 2000.
Kate Van Appledorn, Holland Christian
The Maroons senior was all-area in three sports, starring in volleyball, basketball and track and field, earning all-state honors in shot put.
Alina Martinson, Saugatuck
The senior earned all-state honors in cross country and track and field, placing fourth in the 400 meters.
Isabelle Sliter, Fennville
The junior was a regional champion in cross country and earned all-state honors. Was also a state qualifier in two events in track and field.
Delyla Martinez, Black River
The all-time leader in scoring for Black River basketball, Martinez was also all-state honorable mention in soccer.
Allison Lamer, Holland Christian
The Maroons junior was an elite volleyball player, earning honorable mention all-state, and also one of the top basketball players in the area.
Avery Engbers, Holland Christian
The sophomore runner was all-state in cross country after winning the Division 2 regional championship. Also earned all-state in track and field. Led the Maroons to the state championship in cross country.
Jana Honeycutt, West Ottawa
The sophomore guard earned second-team all-state honors in Division 1 by the Michigan Sportswriters.
Korra Kapenga, Hamilton
Earned all-state in wrestling while also competing in competitive cheer.
Alyssa Volkers, Hamilton
The all-state swimmer joined the wrestling team and nearly made the state finals in a second sport.
Maddie Jipping, Hamilton
Injuries kept Jipping from a full season, that would have been all-state. The Division I recruit also made it to state in tennis.
Emily Haskill, Zeeland West
The No. 1 singles player battled the state’s best to lead the Dux to their first ever regional title and spot in the state tournament.
