LANSING — An 18-year-old boy was shot and killed Nov. 11 in southwest Lansing, and a suspect was in custody, police said.
The incident happened about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Georgetown Boulevard.
Officers arrived to find the 18-year-old with a gunshot wound, Lansing Police Public Information Director Jordan Gulkis said in a news release. Medics rendered aid, but the teen was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
“Police have secured the scene and are still actively investigating,” Gulkis wrote. “LPD is working to determine the sequence of events and the details of the incident.”
Gulkis said another teen, 19, was arrested in connection with the incident.
Police were working in and around The Arbors at Georgetown Apartments complex.
