The Sturgis Department of Public Safety was dispatched early Wednesday evening, Feb. 4 to the corner of Hatch and Maple streets in Sturgis on a report of a structure fire.
Crews arrived on the scene and began tackling the working structure fire on a two-story house and attached garage. North Nottawa Street, M-66, one block away was shut down by public safety personnel to allow water lines to be added to support the tanker trucks at the scene.
No additional information was immediately available.
