The viral English content creators known as “Josh & Jase,” shared a video of them standing before the Michigan state capitol in downtown Lansing on Tuesday, July 28.
At around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, Joshua Cauldwell-Clarke and Jason “Jase” Riley posted a video of themselves standing on the capitol lawn with Josh sporting a University of Michigan jersey and Jase wearing a Michigan State University jersey.
“Lansing we’re here! We’re here to explore your wonderful city, let’s go,” Josh said.
The pair picked up the Michigan-Michigan State rivalry and Jase jokingly said they are here to unify the two schools’ fan bases by wearing both jerseys, but Josh refused.
The travel content creators have already made several stops in the state after arriving on July 24, including the Detroit Pistons training facility, Ann Arbor’s Zingerman’s Deli and Michigan Stadium.
Josh & Jase plan to stay in Michigan until Aug. 17.
Josh & Jase gained a large online following for their videos capturing their first impressions of U.S. states and their landmarks. They have traveled to Arizona, Louisiana, Tennessee, Washington, D.C., and other states.
This is their second visit of Michigan. In January 2026, they toured numerous towns on Michigan’s west side and in the Upper Peninsula. In clips posted online, they shared their disbelief at Lake Michigan’s size, sand and wave action; they dined at recommended restaurants, including Sleder’s Family Tavern in Traverse City and Wally’s Bar & Grill in Saugatuck, attended a Northern Michigan University hockey game, among other activities.
