Services, including a community Celebration of Life, have been set for Lainey Scroggs, 13, who died Wednesday, Aug. 12, following a medical emergency.
Lainey was an incoming eighth-grader at Bedford Public Schools.
Bedford Superintendent Carl Shultz said all services are open to the community.
“Lainey’s family invites our community to join together at the Celebration of Life event as we remember Lainey, honor her life, and surround her family and friends with our love and support,” Shultz said.
Lainey’s obituary, posted by Bedford Funeral Chapel, remembers her love of cheerleading and her family and her personality.
“She was witty, hilarious and effortlessly funny. She had a gift for making people laugh and could turn an ordinary moment into a memory,” said the obituary. Read the full obituary here.
