Eminem’s ex-wife is being held in the Macomb County Jail after her bond was revoked, and October court dates have been set in three pending cases.
Kimberley Anne Mathers, 51, of Chesterfield Township was booked into the jail Thursday, Aug. 13, according to online jail records.
She appeared in 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore on Aug. 13, where the defense and prosecution stipulated to a report that contained multiple bond violations, which is why her bond was revoked, said Esther Wolfe, communications director for the county prosecutor’s office. She said Mathers can be released from the jail if she gets into an inpatient treatment center.
Messages were left for Mathers’ attorney, Camilla Barkovic, who could not be immediately reached for comment Friday, Aug. 14.
Mathers has three cases in the district court, all with court dates Oct. 14, but for different reasons. That’s the date for sentencing on two misdemeanor cases from February, including operating impaired, for which she pleaded no contest, and failure to report an accident, for which she pleaded guilty, according to online court records.
They indicate the October court date also is set for probable cause conferences in a third-offense operating while intoxicated felony case in May and a separate case in which she is facing two felony offenses for assaulting a police officer in July. She has pleaded not guilty in the assault case, according to online court records.
In June, Mathers failed to appear for a sentencing and a bond modification hearing in the misdemeanor case and a probable cause conference in the third-offense impaired driving case. The district court judge issued warrants, which were canceled two days later when she was arraigned.
The bond modification hearing and sentencing hearing stemmed from her May 11 no-contest plea to operating while intoxicated, the prosecutor’s office previously said. It said she violated the court’s bond conditions by being arrested for another operating while impaired offense two days after entering her plea.
The prosecutor’s office previously said Mathers allegedly violated her alcohol monitoring device four times since May 28.
