CHEBOYGAN — Year after year, Kids’ Day attracts many to the Cheboygan County Fair.
Whether it’s the Sawdust Coin Scramble or the sack races, it’s simply an exciting time for kids ages 3-12, along with their families.
The fair celebrated Kids’ Day on Thursday, Aug. 13, with a slate of fun activities for kids to enjoy.
Shortly after 1 p.m., the annual Sawdust Coin Scramble took place, with children of different age groups doing their best to find as much money as possible. During each scramble, there was at least $150 in coins in the sawdust.
Following the coin scramble, youngsters participated in the sack races, which is another annual activity held on Kids’ Day at the Cheboygan County Fairgrounds. During the sack races, prizes were also awarded.
Like previous years, Duncan City Pizza provided free pizza to children and families in attendance. Snacks, water, chips and juice were also handed out during the two-hour event.
