Caitlin Clark avoids injury scare, returns for second half vs Wings

Caitlin Clark has enjoyed a relatively healthy season after an injury-riddled second year. The former Iowa star is hoping to avoid anything serious after leaving Friday’s Indiana Fever game early.

Clark limped to the bench and into the locker room just before halftime of the Fever’s game vs the Dallas Wings. A replay appeared to show her foot/ankle getting stepped on during a play. As soon as the whistle blew, she quickly made her way to the Indiana locker room.

Clark had nine points, three rebounds, and four assists in the first half before leaving with an injury. She did return for the second half and resumed her usual starting spot. More updates on her status going forward will be released after the game.

Clark has only missed four games this season after being limited to 13 games last year. The former Hawk is averaging 21.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game this season.
