SAULT STE. MARIE — Sault Ste. Marie celebrated Independence Day on Friday, July 4 with a community parade and fireworks display.
Starting on Davitt Street, the parade went through downtown Sault before coming to an end just before the city’s fireworks display at the airport. After the celebrations, residents voted on their favorite parade entries.
Anytime Towing and Superior Insurance Agency teamed up to build their display, which won the Best Overall award. Lake Superior State Athletics won the Best Walking Group, and Kewadin Casinos won the Best Float.
