Rookie OTAs: Detroit Lions hand out numbers to newest players

The Detroit Lions have handed out some new numbers, but maybe you should wait before getting a new jersey.

The Lions assigned numbers to the new players at the team’s rookie OTAs on May 9, including to their seven draft picks and 10 undrafted signees.

First-round pick Tyleik Williams leads the way with the No. 78. The defensive tackle from Ohio State wore the No. 91 in college. Second-round pick Tate Ratledge, who wore the No. 69 in college at Georgia, was assigned the same number at rookie OTAs.

It is worth noting that these numbers can change before the season starts.

19. Dominic Lovett – WR (seventh-round pick)

25. Kye Robichaux – RB (undrafted)

27. Ian Kennelly – S (undrafted)

28. Dan Jackson – S (seventh-round pick)

35. Gavin Holmes – CB (undrafted)

40. Zach Horton – TE (undrafted)

42. Anthony Tyus III – RB (undrafted)

61. Ahmed Hassanein – DL (sixth-round pick)

63. Mason Miller – G (undrafted)

69. Tate Ratledge – OL (second-round pick)

71. Miles Frazier – OL (fifth-round pick)

78. Tyleik Williams – DT (first-round pick)

79. Leif Fautanu – C (undrafted)

80. Jakobie Keeney-James – WR (undrafted)

83. Jackson Meeks – WR (undrafted)

86. Caden Prieskorn – TE (undrafted)
