Ron Holland out in Pistons game vs buzzing Hornets, Jalen Duren update

The Detroit Pistons injury report for today’s game means they will be without one of their key rotation players as they play the hottest team in the NBA.

Forward Ron Holland is listed as out for personal reasons on the league’s official injury report for Monday’s Pistons game against the Charlotte Hornets at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.

Today’s Pistons game has a start time of 7 p.m. ET, and the Pistons TV channel is FanDuel Sports Network Detroit in Michigan, with streaming available on Fubo with a free trial.

All-Star center Jalen Duren, who has been dealing with right knee soreness and missed the Pistons’ 118-80 win over the New York Knicks on Friday, is listed as probable to return to action in Charlotte.

Holland has averaged 8.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game over 49 games in his second season with the Pistons. Duren, meanwhile, has missed eight games this season while being named to the All-Star Team for the first time in his career.

Daniss Jenkins was signed to the Pistons’ 15-man roster Sunday night, meaning he’s now eligible for the playoffs after using all of his active status (50 games) on his two-way contract.

At 25-28, the Hornets sit in 10th place in the Eastern Conference and 14 games behind the first-place Pistons (38-13). However, they have the league’s longest active winning streak at nine games, which includes impressive wins over playoff teams in the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Philadelphia 76ers.

Charlotte acquired Coby White at the trade deadline last week for Collin Sexton, but White remains out with a left calf strain.

We’ll see if veteran wing Kevin Huerter cracks the rotation after a few more days to acclimate to the Pistons following his acquisition from Chicago in the Jaden Ivey trade Tuesday. Huerter has played 14 minutes in two games in Detroit so far, but all of his eight minutes (and eight points) Friday against New York came in garbage time.
