Lenawee County is home to several artisan bakers serving up classic and specialty loaves, but what’s the very best dough for your dough?
This week, we asked the community to nominate their favorite local breadmakers and compiled the results into a poll.
Tecumseh Bread and Pastry, located at 115 S. Evans St. in Tecumseh, was the clear winner, earning 82.69% of the vote. The bakery makes fresh goods daily using traditional techniques and “only the finest ingredients.”
Lev’s Bakery Shop, located at 124 E. Chicago Blvd. Ste. 1, took second place this week with 13.46% of the vote. The bakery serves up more than just bread; the menu includes everything from cookies to donuts and even frozen pretzels.
Morning Fresh Bakery, located at 1110 S. Main St. in Adrian, came in third place this week with 3.85% of the vote. The retailer offers fresh baked bread daily, doughnuts, and more.
