Eminem’s ex-wife was arrested on Wednesday following a crash with a parked car, days after she pleaded to driving while intoxicated, according to media reports.
Kimberley Anne Mathers allegedly struck a car on 21 Mile in Chesterfield Township at about 9:20 p.m., news organization TMZ reported.
The website also said the 51-year-old was released from jail on Thursday.
Court records did not list any information about the latest arrest.
On Monday, Mathers pleaded no contest to charges stemming from a February hit-and-run crash in which she was allegedly intoxicated. She was charged with operating while impaired and failure to stop after a collision, which are punishable by no more than 93 days in jail.
Past legal issues
The charges were the latest in a series of legal woes for the Chesterfield Township resident.
In October 2015, she drove a Cadillac Escalade into a utility pole and then a ditch at 23 Mile and Card roads in Macomb Township. The court case records were sealed.
Mathers called Detroit radio show “Mojo in the Morning” several months later and said she drank and got into the SUV with the intention of crashing her vehicle and ending her life. She also said the court records were sealed because the incident was a suicide attempt.
Later the same month, a judge rejected her request to throw out evidence and dismiss the case.
In November 2016, Mathers was sentenced to a $900 fine and a year of probation.
In 2004, she violated her probation on drug charges from the previous year and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 90 days in a drug rehab program.
Mathers was arrested and charged in 2003 for possession of a controlled substance of less than 25 grams, driving with a license suspended, revoked, or denied, and failure to use due care while passing a stationary emergency vehicle.
Eminem, born Marshall Mathers, and Kim were first married in 1999 and divorced several years later, according to Detroit News reports.
They remarried in January 2006, but he filed for a second divorce in April 2006.
The pair also has a daughter together, Hailie.
