Police are investigating an armed robbery during which two employees were injured at the Hamburg Township Dairy Queen.
Officers with the Hamburg Township Public Safety Department were dispatched at 9:30 p.m. Sept. 17 to an armed robbery at Dairy Queen, 6450 E. M-36, according to a press release posted by the department on social media.

According to police, one suspect entered the location wearing gloves and a mask and held three employees at gunpoint while taking money and personal items from them. The suspect punched two of the employees during the incident and fled westbound on foot through the parking lot, according to HTPSD.
Officers utilized dogs and drones to search the area. Police didn’t find the suspect, but they recovered evidence of the crime, according to HTPSD. As of the morning of Sept. 19, the suspect still hadn’t been identified.
The two employees who were physically assaulted were taken to the hospital by Livingston County EMS, according to HTPSD.
The suspect is described as an approximately six-foot male with a thin build wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt with a red zipper down the middle.
