Detroit police said they have located the family of a child who was found alone early Wednesday on the city’s east side.
“The child who was discovered alone in the area of East Outer Drive and Haverhill Street has been reunited with his family,” officials said in a statement. “This is an ongoing investigation.”
They said earlier Wednesday that the boy had been found at about 2 a.m.
Authorities said he is approximately four years old, non-verbal, about 3 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs approximately 48 pounds. They also said he is possibly autistic and was wearing a diaper.
