A mid-Michigan academic with southeast Michigan roots was one-and-done on “Jeopardy!” on Friday, May 15, losing to a returning champion.
Chayce Griffith, of Saline, an assistant professor of tree fruit physiology in Michigan State University’s Department of Horticulture, finished second on “Jeopardy!” Friday, ending with $4,800 after missing the Final Jeopardy prompt.
Tristan Williams, a data scientist from Lincoln, Nebraska, secured his spot as an eight-day “Jeopardy!” champion, ending with $25,601, while Valerie Fulton, an attorney from Greenville, South Carolina, finished last at $1 after betting nearly it everything in Final Jeopardy.
