Michigan State football has added another major priority in-state prospect to its list of official visit guests this weekend.
Allen Trieu of On3 reported on Friday morning that Gideon Gash of Novi, Mich. is set to take an official visit to Michigan State this weekend. Gash — who is the younger brother of current Spartans Samson and Caleb Gash — is a high-end four-star prospect and listed as one of the top players from Michigan in the 2027 class.
Gash is rated as a four-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 97.01 in 247Sports’ composite rating system. He ranks as the No. 5 athlete and No. 2 player from Michigan in the 2027 class. He is also listed as the No. 70 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State is one of many big-time schools en pursuit of Gash’s talents. Along with his upcoming official visit to Michigan State this weekend, Gash is also expected to visit Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Alabama, according to 247Sports. He holds offers from nearly 30 schools in total.
Gash has been one of the top prospects on the Spartans’ recruiting radar and will continue to be a high-priority target going forward. Getting him on-campus for this first weekend of official visits is massive for Michigan State and hopefully they can find a way to close before he leaves this weekend considering who is next on tap for his visits.
