MSU football cornerback receives minicamp invite from defending Super Bowl champs

A Spartans starting cornerback is getting his chance in the NFL thanks to the Seattle Seahawks.

Michigan State cornerback Joshua Eaton has received a minicamp invite from the Seattle Seahawks. The news of his invitation from the defending Super Bowl champions was announced on Sunday following the 2026 NFL Draft.

Eaton played one season with the Spartans after transferring from Texas State last offseason. This past season Eaton appeared in all 12 games, recording 19 tackles and two passes defended.

Prior to his time with the Spartans, Eaton spent three years at Oklahoma and two years at Texas State. He appeared in a total of 55 games across his career, recording 75 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack and 15 passes defended.
