MSU basketball to participate in annual Moneyball Pro-Am event

An annual summer tradition for Michigan State hoops will continue this year.

Michigan State players will once again be participating in the annual Moneyball Pro-Am event over the next month. The rosters were revealed last week, with all but three Michigan State players assigned to one of the teams participating in this year’s event.

Here’s a roster breakdown of who the Spartans will be playing for:

It’s unclear at this time why Kur Teng is not participating but there is speculation that he is recovering from an injury endured either during the season or afterwards. Typically, media will get a chance to interview players during the first few sessions of Moneyball so I’m sure we’ll get an answer on his status over the next week or two.

The games will officially begin on Tuesday and will run through the end of July. They are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Holt High School in Holt, Mich., and admission is free.
