A local woman was shot and killed April 29 on Greenly Street in Osseo, according to the Michigan State Police.
MSP wrote troopers were dispatched from the Jackson Post to a residence around 11:30 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
A preliminary investigation indicated the woman, 39, of Osseo, was inside a Ford Ranger with a 37-year-old man, also of Osseo, when a handgun discharged — striking her. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither individual has been identified by police.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses, reviewing surveillance footage and awaiting forensic analysis. No arrests have been made, and police said there’s no ongoing threat to the public.
