Michigan State football has received predictions to land a top priority wide receiver

Michigan State football has had Zachary Washington as a top target on their 2026 recruiting board with WR coach Courtney Hawkins having put maximum effort in the Wheaton (IL) product. Now, the Spartans may be closing in on landing the prospect.

With a commitment date on the horizon, the Spartans have seen a flurry of good predictions in landing the prospect from St. Francis High School.

Crystal ball predictions have been made on 247Sports for the Spartans to land the 3-star wide receiver. The predictions came from the three insiders on Wisconsin’s 247 recruiting site, Badgers247. Evan Flood, Nick Osen and Jon McNamara are credited with giving the Spartans predictions to land the prospect.

The predictions from Wisconsin’s insiders come with significance due to the perceived lead that the Badgers supposedly had with the prospect following his official visit to Madison at the start of the month. Now, after a visit to East Lansing, it seems that the Spartans have turned the tides.

Washington is a 6-foot-2, 185 pound receiver that has taken visits to MSU, Wisconsin and West Virginia, the three leaders in his recruitment.

MSU has 15 commitments in the 2026 recruiting class, and are looking to make Washington their 16th.
