Michigan State commit, legacy prospect drafted by St. Louis Blues

The eighth Michigan State hockey commit is off the board in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, with the St. Louis Blues selecting Nick Bogas with the No. 139 overall selection in the fifth round of the draft. Bogas, a Spartan legacy, is the son of Craig Bogas, who played from 1995-1999.

Bogas, a 6-foot and 190-pound defenseman from Royal Oak (MI), is a standout for the United States U18 National Development Team. It is unclear what his plans are for the 2026-27 season, but he will be a highly sought-after player within the juniors world.
