Michigan State basketball head coach Tom Izzo was in North August, South Carolina, over the weekend at the EYBL Nike Peach Jam doing some scouting, and it looks like he was particularly impressed with one player, Junior County, who he extended an offer to over the weekend.
Junior County is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard out of Mount Pleasant, Utah. He plays out of the Wasatch Academy. County is the No. 27-ranked player in the 2026 class by 247Sports and their No. 2-ranked shooting guard. Currently, 247Sports has Purdue as the top school for his recruitment, with other notable schools like Houston, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Tennessee, and many, many more in the mix for the talented guard.

The news was first reported by Trent Markwith of Relentless Hoops.
