The high school baseball regular season is quickly reaching the final stages, with conference championships getting set to be decided over the next two weeks and districts set to begin on Tuesday, May 27.
The latest rankings from the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association were released early in the morning on Thursday, May 15, with the biggest change coming in the Division 2 and Division 3 ranks.
Ada Forest Hills Eastern is the new No. 1 in Division 2, taking over the top spot from Orchard Lake St. Mary’s after improving its record to 23-1 overall. Standish-Sterling (22-1) also jumped to No. 2, leaving last week’s No. 1 down at No. 3 this week.
Kalamazoo Christian has taken over as the top-ranked team in D3, jumping from No. 6 in last week’s poll, improving to 23-4 after wins over No. 16 Schoolcraft, Bridgman, Kalamazoo Loy Norrix and Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic Prep last week.
In Division 1, Rochester Adams moved from No. 4 to No. 2 and White Lake Lakeland moved from No. 15 to No. 9. Here are the full MHSBCA rankings:
