Pop-rapper MGK’s latest metro Detroit visit was cut short thanks to an act of God.
Severe weather around Pine Knob Music Theatre prompted his concert to be halted at about 10:25 p.m. Tuesday (June 16), about 70 minutes after he’d taken the stage.
As seen in videos shot by fans at Pine Knob, MGK reacted in frustration as an onstage emcee made the announcement and told concertgoers, “Everybody be safe, and best of luck getting home.”
There’s no indication how much time was left in MGK’s planned set. Given Pine Knob’s 11 p.m. curfew, he could have performed for another 35 minutes max.
On his Instagram page, MGK later posted icons of clouds and lightning alongside a middle finger. He also wrote, “This was a first for me.”
MGK’s Pine Knob show came in the homestretch of his global Lost Americana Tour, in support of his 2025 album of the same name. The tour is headed tonight to Grand Rapids’ Acrisure Amphitheater, where he’ll be joined by opener Wiz Khalifa.
