It’s officially a holiday weekend in Michigan, though not without road construction.
From closures on Interstate 94 near the Detroit Metropolitan Airport to work on Interstate 696 in Oakland County, the major metro Detroit projects continue.
Additional lane and ramp closures will start Monday, June 22, on Interstate 75 and Interstate 96. In and near Detroit, expect traffic and road closures for the Ford Fireworks show on Monday, too.
As construction continues, roadwork can be weather-dependent and could change. A map of construction locations can be found at Michigan.gov/drive.
