Meet Up and Eat Up, a free program offered countywide, has begun its summer 2025 rollout.
Officially known as the Summer Food Service Program, Meet Up and Eat Up provides meals to children up to age 18 and living in low-income areas, where 50% or more of the students qualify for free or reduced-price school meals.
Adults with special needs, up to 26 years of age, also qualify.
Here’s a breakdown by school district on when and where meals are distributed:
Most locations will be closed the week of July 7.
Meet Up and East Up operates in more than 1,800 schools, public housing centers, playgrounds, parks and faith-based facilities statewide. Last year, it served more than 3.4 million meals in Michigan.
It is made possible through funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
