Kareem Washington was a basketball standout at Sexton who finished seventh in the Mr. Basketball voting as a senior in 1990 before going on to play at Loyola Marymount, Polk Community College and Virginia Commonwealth.

Saddi Washington shined in basketball and track and was 10th in the Mr. Basketball voting as a senior in 1993 and a three-time all-state finisher in the 800-meter run. He continued his basketball career at Western Michigan and then professionally before getting into coaching. He was an assistant coach at Michigan for eight seasons from 2016-24 and is now preparing to start his second season as an assistant for Tom Izzo at Michigan State.

Sangster, a 2003 graduate, was a three-time all-state finisher in the 200 before going on to run at Western Michigan.
