'Survivor 50': Here's who made the final 10 and who was eliminated

OK, Coach is gone. So now what?

Here’s everything that happened on Wednesday’s episode of “Survivor 50.” Warning, spoilers ahead:

What was the fallout from Tribal Council?

Devens, who made a show of playing his fake idol at last week’s Tribal Council, was pleased as punch with himself and his performance. “I miss causing chaos at Tribal and tonight, I got back to my chaotic self,” he said. “That’s the most fun Tribal I’ve had all season.” Others liked it too, mostly because all the attention it brought to Devens meant less attention on them. Ozzy reasoned it took all the smoke off of him and Rizo and the (real) idols they hold, and Cirie said she “loved every second of it. He just made a bullseye on his back, and anyone who has a bigger target than me is beneficial to me in this game.” Aubry called Devens’ move “sloppy showmanship” and said it woke her up in the game. “It’s time to make people realize that I really do mean business.”

But Hubicki is safe, right?

Yeah, no. Devens’ fake idol — originally cooked up in cahoots with Christian Hubicki — seemed to bring heat around on Hubicki, whose name was being thrown around far more than ever before. Hubicki, meanwhile, started turning his attention toward Jonathan and Ozzy, the latter of whom he dubbed “he who shall not be named.” But Ozzy was ready to cut the throat of Hubicki. “I’m not convinced that Christian isn’t a robot walking around in human skin,” he theorized.

Did Jeff Probst insert himself into the challenge?

Oddly, yes. Probst has had a lot of main character energy this season (remember his rap?), and during Wednesday’s challenge — which involved each contestant holding onto a bucket filled with half their pre-game weight — Probst decided he wanted to play, too. So in order to earn rice, four chosen players would have to outlast Probst in the game. It would be like if Ken Jennings pulled up his own podium and started answering “Jeopardy!” questions, and it’s not clear who the “side bet” — which was apparently thought up by Jimmy Fallon — benefitted, except for Probst, who borrowed the spotlight from the players for an extended period of time. Anyway, he didn’t last long, and the players earned their rice.

Who won immunity?

Outlasting the others — including Probst — was Joe, who earned immunity for the second time this season. Joe was asked to send someone off to Exile Island, and after several volunteers played Rock, Paper, Scissors for the honor, Hubicki won and headed off on his own. Probst, surprisingly, didn’t volunteer himself for the journey.

Wait, did you say Jimmy Fallon?

Yes, and the “Tonight Show” host was involved in Hubicki’s challenge when he was sent to Exile Island. Hubicki pulled up to a barge in the middle of the ocean where he found a note from Fallon (it would have been a lot funnier if Fallon was actually there), explaining he would win an advantage — “One in the Urn,” which would allow him to cast an early vote for Tribal Council — if he could finish a puzzle in a set amount of time. However, he couldn’t complete the puzzle, so the Urn advantage was taken away, and he was given a note he had to read aloud when he returned to camp. The note, alas, said he would have to cast a vote against himself at that night’s Tribal Council, a first in “Survivor” history. However, the mandatory vote against himself created a bit of sympathy toward Hubicki, and suddenly Emily’s name was tossed out as the name everyone had to vote out. So heading into Tribal Council, it was anyone’s guess who would be going home.

Lots of names being thrown around. So who was voted out?

In in the end, it was Hubicki. It was a tight vote — Devens and Ozzy both earned multiple votes — but it was Hubicki who got his flame snuffed out. And he’s not happy with Jimmy Fallon.

Who’s left?

Here are the remaining Survivors:
