Major renovations coming to MyMichigan Medical Center Sault

A major renovation project is set to begin at MyMichigan Medical Center Sault next month. 

According to the hospital’s announcement, the nearly $19 million project will modernize facilities, improve patient experiences and help ensure high-quality care for years to come.

“Our Medical Center has cared for the residents of the Eastern Upper Peninsula for more than 100 years, and this renovation and revitalization will ensure that we are here for future generations,” said Kevin Kalchik, president of MyMichigan Medical Center Sault, in the announcement. “These projects also reflect MyMichigan Health’s continued commitment to the Eastern Upper Peninsula and to bringing high-quality care close to home for all of the communities that we serve.”

Work will focus on three major areas, including the relocation of the Behavioral Health Unit, expansion of outpatient surgery and remodeling of the Long Term Care Unit. Some of the project details include:
