This is the final event on the tour’s 14-event schedule, which started in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Feb. 8 and has toured through countries like Australia, South Korea, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The tour’s current leader (as of Tuesday, Aug. 5) is the Chilean golfer Joaquín Niemann of Torque GC, who leads Spanish golfer Jon Rahm by over 37 points in the overall standings. The individual champion will be decided at the end of the 13th event, which will take place in Indianapolis on Aug. 17.

The Michigan event will be a team championship, where teams will be matched head-to-head in a quarterfinal round on Friday the 22nd before a semifinal round on Saturday the 23rd.

Sunday the 24th, the final round of the 2025 LIV schedule, will feature a traditional stroke play, with each player’s score contributing to his team’s overall total.

The 2024 team champion, decided at the team championship in Dallas on Sept. 22, was the Australian outfit Ripper GC, which featured captain Cameron Smith and 2009 PGA Rookie of the Year Marc Leishman.

This is the first time LIV golf is hosting a tournament in Michigan, and they’re bringing a party to St. John’s, with Imagine Dragons playing a post-round concert on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET and Swedish House Mafia playing a post-tournament concert on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.
