Library of Things in works to serve EUP communities

Superior District Library is working to develop a district-wide Library of Things, and they need public input to make it happen.

A Library of Things is a collection of physical items that library patrons can borrow just like a book. Some libraries offer everything from cooking equipment to ukuleles to cameras to art supplies and many other options.

According to library officials, “this free collection will help us address rising costs of living, reduce waste and promote reciprocity and cooperation amongst our patrons.”

A public survey is now open to gauge which items regional communities would like to see in the collection.

Superior District Library includes eight locations, including: Bayliss Public Library, Brevort Township Community Library, DeTour School & Public Library, Drummond Island Library, Engadine Library, Les Cheneaux Community Library, Mollie R. Kahl Community Library and the Pickford Community Library.
