The Charlevoix Historical Society will present a program titled “Schooners and the Lake Michigan Frontier” at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at the Charlevoix Public Library.
The fully illustrated program will be narrated by historian Theodore J. Karamanski of Loyola University Chicago.
The program is free to attend, and aligns with the Charlevoix Historical Society’s 2026 emphasis on the maritime history of Charlevoix.
