LANSING — Expect slower going on southbound U.S. 127 next week in the area between Interstates 96 and 496.
The Michigan Department of Transportation said two southbound lanes will be closed between Forest and Jolly roads from the morning of Monday, May 4 to late afternoon Friday, May 8 for epoxy overlay work.
That part of southbound U.S. 127 was rebuilt in 2025. In late March, MDOT warned that some tasks left over from that project would be done this year, including completing a median barrier wall, bridge epoxy overlays, concrete surface coatings and pavement markings.
